Thanks.

Somebody in the old basshead thread at HF made a joke about multiple Hawaii's in the thread and I posted a GTFO gif  (not at the hawaii dude) and got banned (1 week) Banned from the bass thread permanently....oh well.

I'm in japan but I'll be heading back to Hawaii (Oahu) in about a year for good. There are a lot of us 808 refugees out there ;)

Drink some Kava Kava for me!  :-0  :)p4

(In the Unlikely even that I ever make an audio device, maybe I'll call it the Thad Kava, because, hopefuly, it'll be really good at revealing detail and making the music completely involving  :)p2 )

((Hopefully it won't be a kava-lack-tone!))

OK, OK, enough with the kava jokes --- I tell myself  :-[

I used to collect that for some Longboard assoc guys. Drank it at China Uemura's wedding at Bishop museum and had an outfucking standing time. Stuff grows like wild weeds cuz it is I guess? Lazy folks drink "swipe" less lazy drink the awa. I'm not very lazy...I'll drink both for you when I go back ;)

Cheers! Enjoy!

Seriously, though, one of the main effects on me is to increase concentration on, and involvement with, music.

I'd love to visit one of those Pacific Islands and then try to avoid the stuff they feed to tourists

With the headphones, of course!

 :wheel:

(for those who don't have a clue what we're on about, don't worry: it is not illegal. And it certainly can include headphones. )

Greetings all! I've been on headfi since 2008 but have been lurking on changstar for years. Its always different and refreshing.

I am perpetually on the verge of never buying another bit of gear...for the last six years. I know I can't afford the TOTL so I always mess around with budget stuff. I know this isn't a place to come and ask for recommendations. It's a place to come and eavesdrop. I like it.

Maybe someday I can contribute something useful here.

Hi there!. We're actually cool if you want to ask for recommendations. I think there's a thread dedicated to it. Most of the time, I discourage people from buying anything. Just ask zerodeefex how I've discouraged him from buying a lot of stuff. This is a good time for the low to mid end. Lots of good stuff.

Thanks! I'll check out that thread. Its exhausting trying to keep up at the other place all the products that are recommended!

I've enjoyed looking on the Pyrate Leaderboard and seeing how much good low to mid end stuff there is; they're the headphones I've kept coming back to again. Is there less portable source/dap/dac stuff because the quality isn't there yet? The absence of Fiio, Ibasso, etc is obvious.

It's tough to know how to get the music from the CD into the more "budget" stuff...especially portable/transportable.

(Can I say... Massdrop? Just an exercise of personal freedom.)
