If you lurk around the Deals thread on Head-Fi, I think the T1 new occasionally drops to $700. They're super comfortable but you might as well spend a few hundred more on a used like-new HD 800 and not worry about unit variability. The two at the Dallas meet were both just so-so, I didn't think they sounded particularly hi-fi.
