For some reason my amperior headband is significantly more comfortable than my HD25 headband. At first I thought it was the different pads, but even after switching them out it still felt different. I think my amperior headband is slightly narrower which distributes the pressure more evenly on my ears.

Do you think there may be an acoustic leak from the jack hole? ~Tyll Hertsens

Not sure if I like stuffing one hole or both holes. Tending toward one hole since both holes seems kinda ghey ~Purrin

  • Warning: causes nearby electronics to go haywire

Fostex T50RP isolation is so-so, falls behind DT1350 noticeably. Paradox is a bit better due to more damping, but still lots behind. It's also not closed, it's vented.

If affordable and fun is your thing just get an AKG K81/518. It sounds like a HD25 without its shrill peak and very nice bass. Not a lot of detail though.

Otherwise the M50 is good enough to audition.

I think if I was in the market for a closed headphone for work (and didn't need it to double as a on-the-go portable) I'd grab a Paradox.  I hear the isolation is really good.

Probably I will try to modify myself Fostex T50RP, Paradox price is too high for me, if I take in account that some guy played with damping materials on these. I respect peoples work but it is more fun to try mod it yourself. Also Fostex based cans are large for using on road, bus or at work. I need on ears (can't use in ear) Anyway thanks for suggestions  :) :) :)

I see that there are some good sounding DT1350's but hell who knows which version will be shipped for you,  :-00 Total fail Beyer TOTAL, BTW my friend has them and I listened for a while and I thought I could go out now grab any 20$ can from next electronics store and I will have better phone :D
