My old own ear measurement, I think it was shallower than yours since resonances are higher up.
From my experience, deep insertion moves resonances down, often quite a lot.

@Matt I'm saying I believe the ones measured were the GR07 Bass Editions. I'm part of the same tour group as Purrin and I'm fairly certain the guy said these are the Bass Editions.

I have to say that out of all the IEMs I've tried (Shure SE846 w/ bass filter, ASG-2, UE900, DUNU DN-1000, etc) the GR07 BE has my favorite tonal balance, except for the 10k spike.

I'd like to add that you can pick up the GR07 for $100 now in the form of the GR07 "Classic." It sounds pretty much like I remember my old Mk. I sounding, though the cabling is vastly improved. It's internally braided and is much softer and more pliable will less of a memory character. Plus the housings come in a cool silver color and the finish seems a bit cleaner and more professional.

Despite the hard and sometimes sibilant treble, these are pretty much a steal at $100.

Thanks for the heads up, that's an insane price! Better than the re-400 @$100, by just a little bit imo. I wonder if the change in cable did anything to help with the sibilance?

GR07 classic is without those old bio cellulose drivers, so its completely new iem with same name.Thats why you have price reduction.

Actually that was just a rumor and was confirmed to be false by Lendmeurears:

2) There has been rumours on head-fi forum that the GR07 classic no longer uses the same kind of drivers as the previous generations of GR07. We would like clarify that this is WRONG. The GR07 classic continues to use the same kind of bio cellulose driver as the previous iterations.

The Vsonic CEO had clarified that on his weibo (China's version of twitter)

I own the Mk. I, Mk. II, and the CE. The CE is a repacking of the Mk. II with different colors. It has the internally braided, softer and more silver-colored cable of the Mk. II, and is sonically identical.
