Thanks for posting these, purrin. What do you think of them, assuming you had a chance to listen to them? I felt they did a lot of things well (and the HM5 model was priced reasonably), but I just couldn't really warm up to them. Something strange about their presentation, IMO. I could definitely hear the dip around 300Hz when I first put them on, though I couldn't immediately identify it until looking at graphs. I wasn't expecting the treble to look as peaky in some places as it does, but that would actually explain a lot of what I'm hearing.

The mids are good. Bass is strong. Treble is peaky in a few, but tolerable for me. The overall FR is decent. Can't really complain at the price.

I really do consider the $70 rebrands of these to be the closed kings of their price bracket.

Yeah, they're hard to beat at that price range. I still can't figure out exactly what it is about these that sound so off to my ears, though...

With its bump, I can see that. I actually kind of like that nasal effect.

It seems like there'll be an update to the Fa-003. I've been eyeing this can for a long time now but the announcement is making me want to wait a little longer for the revised edition. They even posted a new square wave response to compare with the old one:

Skeptical of titanium diaphragms myself.  Haven't heard one I liked yet.

Is it because titanium drivers have something inherent in them?

I find Koss KSC75 very, very competent.

Looks like they added a helluva more treble to the phone going by them squares.

They are probably building off the "High Edition".

If it's anything like the High Edition...you will need a Leben to enjoy them.
